. Surface pretreatment

1.1 brightening

The process of making a metal surface bright by chemical or electrochemical polishing.

1.2 bright dipping

After the metal is immersed in the solution, the metal surface is bright.

1.3 polishing

The process of reducing metal surface roughness.

1.4 buffing of soft wheel

The metal surface is polished by rotating soft wheels. The abrasive used on the wheel is suspension, paste or viscous grease containing fine grinding particles.

1.5 electrolytic brightening

The surface of metal is lightened by proper electrolysis

1.6 electropolishing

Polishing as anode in proper electrolyte

1.7 electrochemical etching

Electrolytic etching of aluminum in a suitable solution

1.8 chemical brightening

The treatment of aluminum in solution to make its surface bright.

1.9 chemical polishing

Polishing of aluminum immersed in chemical solution

1.10 degreasing

Remove grease from the surface by mechanical, chemical or electrolytic methods.

1.11 pickling

The removal of oxides or other compounds from the surface of aluminum by chemical action (usually in acids).

1.12 cleaning

The method of removing grease and dirt on the surface with weak acid, weak base solution, solvent and its vapor. This treatment can be chemical or electrolytic.

1.13 desmutting

Remove the ash attached to the surface of aluminum (e.g. the treatment of aluminum immersed in nitric acid solution after alkali washing, commonly known as light).

1.14 deoxidizing

Remove oxide from the surface.

1.15 etching, etching, etch

The surface of metal material is roughened by total or partial dissolution in acidic or alkaline solution. The etching process can be carried out with or without electricity. This method can also be used in special production processes such as electrolytic capacitor aluminum foil, printed circuit board and decorative structure.

1.16 brushing

A method of mechanical cleaning of surfaces, usually with a rotating brush.

1.17 grinding

The process of removing surface material by abrasive attached to a rigid or flexible object.

1.18 belt grinding, belt polishing

A method for mechanical treatment of aluminum parts. The aluminum part is in friction contact with the annular strip bonded with abrasive.

1.19 tumbling

In order to improve the smoothness of metal surface, the process of batch processing aluminum parts in the drum (with or without abrasive pellets).

1.20 abrasive blasting

The corundum or glass sand is shot at the surface of the object by air flow and the treatment method. Fine abrasives suspended in water or other liquids can also be used for spray grinding (wet spraying or steam spraying).

1.21 shot blasting

The treatment of spraying hard, small balls, such as metal pellets, onto a metal surface.

1.22 glass bead blasting

A method of cleaning or hardening the surface of metal by spraying small spherical glass balls on it.

1.23 sand blasting

Spray grinding with sand or alumina.

Wet blasting, liquid Hong

The abrasive water slurry is sprayed to the workpiece at high speed to clean or finish the surface.

1.25 activation

The surface changes from a passive state to an active state.

1.26 reactivation (of an anodic oxide coating)

After acid treatment, the anodic oxide film can absorb more dye.

1.27 stripping

Remove the anodic oxide film from the metal surface layer with appropriate chemical solution.
