China’s alumina project in Vietnam is officially in operation

Vinacomin said its renji alumina project in donon province will be ready for commercial operation in the near future after a load test, Vietnamese media reported.
The renji alumina plant, which produces 650,000 tons of alumina per year and was built by the aluminum corporation of China (chinalco), started construction in 2010 with a total investment of more than 12 trillion Vietnamese dong ($527 million).
The main products of the project are aluminum hydroxide and aluminum oxide.
Another project the company contracted in Vietnam, the lintong sinlai alumina project, earned 60 billion Vietnamese dong in the first half of 2017.
The production of alumina and aluminum hydroxide has been sold to China, South Korea, Japan, Turkey, India, Thailand market.
